Senior VoIP Systems Engineer
Job Description and Requirements
Plan, design, build, test, debug, implement, maintain custom VoIP based infrastructure. Responsibility of building and leading a team of engineers/programmers that will grow with the company.
- Through understanding of SIPv2 protocol and related network components (Proxy, SBC, Softswitch, etc.)
- Through understanding of IP based network systems and protocols
- Understanding of NAT, PAT, Firewall issues as they relate to VoIP
- Ability to trace and troubleshoot VoIP sessions at the packet level
- Working knowledge of C, Perl, PHP
- Experience with Asterisk and Sip Express Router (SER) at the source code level
- Experience with Cisco IOS Voice routers (Dial-Peer, H.323, ISDN, etc.)
- Experience in interfacing with call routing / rating / billing systems
- Understanding of Linux based operating systems
- Experience with RDBMS (MySQL a plus)
- Experience with high availability clustering and load balancing
- Required Bachelor Degree in computer science or related field
