Prefix-based Authentication

We allow for Prefix-based Authentication so your UA does not need to register to us. 

How it Works

OUTBOUND

Send calls like this:

<VarPhonex Virtual Number><VarPhonex PIN> * <dialednumber>@sip.varphonex.com 

Example

123456712345*13057286496@sip.varphonex.com

The Virtual Number is a seven digit number you choose when you establish your account.  The PIN can be created from the user control panel inside the "Local Access Number Setup" section.   It's important that we understand how many simultaneous calls you will be sending so we can determine if the IP address from where you're sending calls needs to be added to our access list.

If you would like to send multiple simultaneous calls, we need to add your UA to our access list.  We will need the IP address from where you're sending calls, your customer ID, and the SIP Proxy you're using.

INBOUND
(Forwarding from a third party DID provider)

Send calls like this:

<Virtual Number><VarPhonex PIN> * <VirtualNumber>@sip.varphonex.com
