Why can't I access my voice mail from a PAP2 or Sipura device?


Problem:

I cannot access VM via the PAP2/Sipura



Solution:

If you find that you cannot access the VM system even with the correct VM password, the SPA/PAP2 DTMF settings are not correct.

Follow the instructions below:

  1. Access the device's configuration settings. If you do not know how to access the device's settings, please use our set up instructions here.
  2. Click on the "Admin Login" button near the top right side of the screen
  3. Click on the "Line 1" tab
  4. Click on advanced "Line 1" tab
  5. Scroll down to Audio configuration
  6. Look for "DTMF Tx method" settings and change it to "AVT"
  7. Update the settings
  8. Apply the same procedure for line 2 DTMF setting.
  9. Attempt VM access.
